Behold, my first woodland wedding! And it was a pretty special one – Adam is one of my oldest friends and as well as being photographer, I was a groomsman!
We camped all weekend, which was great as I was able to get up early and capture shots of the whole grooms party getting ready, and scout for locations to take them round later on. I also took my own sparklers and funky glasses to get some exciting couple shots when the evening hit.
The reception was at Malton register office and then we headed to the forest where there was a hand fastening ceremony (an old pagan tradition) and then we had afternoon tea and the party started.
I am, of course, biased because it was my son’s wedding. But this was a stunning day, so much fun and emotion. Lola captured it perfectly.
